Privacy Policy

We collect some of your data to make this platform work. We don't sell it to advertisers. Here is exactly what we collect and why.

What We Collect

When you register, we ask for your name, email address, institutional affiliation, and ORCID. We keep this information to manage your account and attribute your publications correctly.

We also log basic usage data. When you read an article, we record your IP address and the timestamp. We do this to generate metrics—like total views and downloads—for the authors.

Who We Share It With

We share the minimum amount of data required with third-party services that help run the site:

  • Crossref: We send them article metadata (including author names and affiliations) to register DOIs.
  • Stripe: They handle all payment processing. We never see or store your full credit card number.
  • AWS: Our servers run on Amazon Web Services, which securely hosts our database and the PDF files.

Peer Review Privacy

Peer review on this platform is double-blind by default. We hide author identities from reviewers and reviewer identities from authors. Our editors can see both sides. We store the review reports permanently to maintain a record of editorial decisions.

Your Rights

You can update your profile information at any time from your dashboard. If you want us to delete your account entirely, email us. Note that if you have published papers or submitted reviews, we have to keep certain records for academic integrity purposes, but we will remove your active login and marketing preferences.
